Hey Friend!

I’ve always been told that knowledge is power. But, what I’ve come to realize is that without the proper tools and resources to implement that knowledge–that knowledge becomes useless, even harmful.

For example: if you desire a romantic partner, but have a subconscious limiting belief that you’re not worthy or good enough to get real and lasting love, then buying the newest bestseller, titled something like *5 Steps to Real Hot Love,* may actually reinforce and strengthen beliefs about your *unworthiness*, when you implement those 5 steps and nothing happens.

Unless you’re working to heal the subconscious root issue (the limiting belief) then no knowledge at the conscious level will be powerful enough to change your outcomes, as the root issue is wired in your brain.

Here’s the truth about your root issue: the root issue can always be connected back to a lack of self-love. It sounds overly simple and even trite, but it’s true for me and all my clients.

Through conditioning from early childhood experiences, from negative and traumatic events, and from societal constructs and institutions, we have learned to reject, deny and hate aspects of ourselves.

A lack of self-love manifests in our lives in so many ways, and we don’t even realize it. We think at the conscious level that we are just overeating because of the pressure from our terrible boss, that we can only wear that outfit if we lose 20 pounds, that we didn’t ask for the promotion because the project isn’t that impressive, that being bad with money is just how we’ve always been, that we aren’t writing our book because the timing isn’t right or that we didn’t go on a second date with that really nice person because it didn’t “feel” right (but what feels right are partners that treat us like crap). A lack of self-love is always lurking beneath, sabotaging us again and again.

If you, like most of us, struggle with self-acceptance, self-confidence/self-esteem, and self-worth, which are all just tenets of self-love, then make self-love a central part of your daily hypnosis practice.

I’m so passionate about hypnosis/hypnotherapy, because it works at the subconscious level, where your habits, thoughts and beliefs live. By disrupting your old programming with new, more aligned programming, you can bring real and lasting change into your life.

When your thoughts and beliefs are centered and grounded in self-love, then self-help books are useful and advantageous to you. Their knowledge can help to enhance the quality of your life. So, read to your heart’s content, but make sure your daily hypnosis practice supports the knowledge and the ideas that you want for your life at the subconscious level.

To help you with this, I’ve created a 10 minute Guided Self-hypnosis YouTube video to help you implement a daily hypnosis practice.

Happy editing,
Robin
